Kidde Slick 2SFWR 230V Optical Smoke Alarm

The Kidde 2SFW optical smoke alarm is mains powered with a rechargeable lithium battery back-up which means the alarm will continue to operate for up to 6 months in the event of a mains power failure. It is part of the Slick range of fast-fit alarms that can be interconnected with up to 23 other Kidde and Firex mains alarms.

This optical smoke alarm is designed to detect slow, smouldering fires (e.g. from the ignition of furniture by cigarettes), so is suited for placing in escape or circulation routes or living areas. It has a unique fast-fit system with separate base plate to allow for fitting after construction and also removal for maintenance.

The standard base is the key to hard-wire linking with other Kidde and Firex mains alarms, however this alarm can be linked wirelessly to up to 15 other units using a wireless alarm base (RF-SFTP) which allows for RF interlink functionality. Utilising wireless technology the 2SFWR (in conjunction with the RF-SFTP) can be remotely tested and hushed when used with the Slick RF-RTH unit.

Other features of the alarm include; Auto reset - after activation with latching LED allowing the initiating alarm to be identified; Seperate Test and Hush buttons (to test and temporarily silence nuisance alarms); Rechargeable sealed-in lithium cell battery back-up, providing continuous operation in the event of mains failure; Tamper resistant locking device; Deep base allowing for easier wiring; Automatic self-testing - every 40 seconds; 30 day low battery warning.

The Slick 2SFWR has a 10 year manufacture warranty.
